Crystal Zapien, a Dallas native and Skyline Highschool Alumna, has dedicated much of her professional career in the non-profit sector to focusing on closing the opportunity gap in marginalized communities through educational programming and youth programming. Growing up in Pleasant Grove, she understands first-hand the importance of having access to resources, education, and opportunity. Ultimately, it is what drives her work in creating a more equitable world for all.

Crystal is thrilled to be part of the Fair Park First team and contribute to the park’s revitalization and preservation and all it will be for our surrounding neighbors and the world!

She is a proud daughter of immigrants and a first-generation college graduate. Crystal is a former student-athlete who earned her bachelor's degree from Texas A&M International University in Education, Psychology, and Communications.
